History of Establishment

After the start of construction and installation of alcohol and yeast factories in 1999, the first factory of this company with a nominal annual capacity of 33 million liters of medical alcohol started its trial production in February 2007.

The ethanol factory of this company, with about 100 staff, has the capacity to produce 33 million liters of 96% medical ethanol per year.

The ethanol factory, using state-of-the-art technology and modern machinery, is able to produce 100,000 liters of alcohol from molasses daily. Additionally, 45% of the country's alcohol demand is produced in the Razi Alcohol Factory.

Production of yeast in this company started in late 2011 with a nominal capacity of 10,000 tons per year, using the most advanced technology in the world.

This factory now holds over 30% of the country's total production.

The yeast factory has the highest installed capacity of yeast in Iran and has achieved a daily production of more than 30 tons of instant dry yeast.

The bio-carbon dioxide gas production line (CO2 gas extraction and collection) with nutritional value is aimed at achieving a green industry and completing the sugar value chain, with the goal of implementing Article 12 of the Kyoto Protocol and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and clean development mechanisms to prevent global warming and minimize environmental pollutants in early summer of 2019.

One of the other uses of bio-carbon dioxide gas is its conversion into dry ice in the chemical industries. In this regard, the first dry ice production machine in Khuzestan province (October 3, 2021) was launched by the experts of Razi Yeast and Alcohol Company.

The nominal production capacity of this machine is 90 kilograms per hour, which is made domestically and by local experts inside the country.

This initiative is part of environmentally friendly green projects and does not use fossil fuels.

In line with its environmental measures, Razi Yeast and Alcohol Company took steps towards building the Vinasse purification and refinement factory on a 2-hectare site in February 2021. This became operational in May 2022 and is the country's largest Vinasse purification and industrial wastewater treatment plant.

This effective step, using innovative technology and observing environmental standards, completes the green industry cycle of Razi Company. Razi Company, which supplies Vinasse in liquid and dry form, turns threats into opportunities by implementing these environmental plans.

In this factory, 1200 cubic meters of vinasse, output of Razi Alcohol, is converted into 164 cubic meters of vinasse with a concentration of 55 to 60 percent daily.
