Razi Yeast and Alcohol Company

Razi Yeast and Alcohol Company has undertaken several initiatives aimed at optimizing resource utilization and treating wastewater from its factories. These efforts have been facilitated through collaborations with the Biotechnology Headquarters of the Presidency, biotechnology and petroleum research institutes, knowledge-based companies, consultants, university professors, and foreign technologists. The projects under consideration include:

  • Construction of a pilot system for drying and solid separation from wastewater using the Cavizon method (electrocoagulation).

  • Development and construction of a continuous physical treatment pilot using VSEP nanofiltration.

  • Investigation of vinasse concentration using artificial evaporation methods such as MVR and falling film evaporation.

  • Examination of wastewater drying for use in animal feed through the spiro dryer method.

  • Utilization of concentrated vinasse from evaporation ponds for road stabilization and enhancement, and water suited for agricultural applications.

  • Production of plant mulch on a semi-industrial scale.

  • Production of firefighting foam on a semi-industrial scale.

  • Assessment of biogas recovery suitable for energy production from natural gas.

  • Treatment of vinasse using activated carbon and chemical injection through nanoemulsion at a laboratory scale.

  • Investigation of constructing a biorefinery using vinasse as feedstock for producing diverse products, including lactic acid, on a semi-industrial scale.

  • Production of cellulose-based biopolymers and alginates at a laboratory scale
